In a blink of an eye, everything can change, are you ready?

The knowledge and experience of your life and the way you live it has a very huge influence on your readiness to face these situations. For instance, the loss of a loved one may wreak havoc to your emotional stability. You may suddenly not see the world around you the same way, in a blink of an eye your life has changed and you may feel scared, angry, lost. The loss may also affect people you love. In the long run this might even result in poor physical health. You have to be ready for any crisis in life big or small, minimizing a traumatic experience that could lead you into depression. There are circumstances in life that affect us deeply and...Have you ever watched a science program where they attempt to explain the universe, showing you beautiful scenes of nearby galaxies, talking about the existence of black holes? The immensity of the sun, and the weird but true fact that you can fit a million earths in it is enough to bring into perspective one's own existence. Opportunity to change - double yeh!I've tried this approach in life, in some cases it can be trying but overall, it has helped me through many circumstances that showed up in my life in a blink of an eye. Greeting them as an opportunity rather than bad luck, made all the difference on how they affected me emotionally, physically, psychologically. It made me more of a pro-active person rather than re-active. When you're reacting you're not in control, but when you're pro-active in any circumstance you are - and when you feel you are in control, you deal better with what ever is going on in your life. One of the ways of readiness, in my experience, is to learn to see everything as an opportunity to grow, change and become a stronger person.PS: I chose to place a beautiful picture of Bette White, because she represents to me constant joy, wisdom and a lightness of heart. Is it any wonder she has aged so gracefully and going on strong at 90! Her new book out is called "If You Ask Me (And Of Course You Won't)". But she tells you anyway... Posted in: Older Post Home
