Never underestimate the power of a good Third Piece (jacket, sweater, vest, scarf). They're the alchemists in your wardrobe that turn basic separates into Outfits™. Recent finds such as my knit jacket with leather sleeves and this cardigan from Eileen Fisher are making my mornings much easier. With a little bit of structure and shaping, this long cardigan is perfect for casual-but-pulled-together looks, but also dresses up a bit in a pinch (which makes it a contender for the travel wardrobe).
Also, don't underestimate the power of the right accessories. These shoes definitely punch above their weight.
