The tallest tower in the world is being built!
In Dubai, work began on the construction of The Tower skyscraper, which will be the tallest building in the world. The structure is to be 100 m higher than the tallest building on earth today - Burj Khalifa, which is also located in Dubai.
The planned height of the building is 928 m, and the entire investment will cost $ 1 billion. The author of the design is the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The architect's intention is to emphasize that the United Arab Emirates is an Islamic country. From here, the tower refers to slender minarets and the royal symbolism of the lily flower.
The building will include many attractions, such as observation terraces, hanging gardens, a hotel and luxury restaurants. A special lighting system will be installed at its very top, which is to emit beams of light at night. The tower will be attached with special lines to the ground to withstand congestion and wind. Gardens will arise around her.
The ceremonial opening of the tower is to take place in 2020 during the Dubai Expo. The construction will become a new showcase of the city, just as in 1889, during the Expo in Paris, the Eiffel Tower became the symbol of the French capital. The Tower will be located in the very center of the port district - Dubai Creek.
