Another Sunday, another day filled with snow and cold, cold temperatures. I love Wisconsin, but this winter is making even me consider moving farther south. We are definitely hunkered down in anticipation of the latest arctic blast. We have movies, board games, cookies, a roaring fire, and nowhere to go. Perfect.

I must admit, I am very excited about next week’s Super Bowl even though my team is not in it. It really is the Wisconsin Badgers Super Bowl this year. Running back Montee Ball is with the Broncos, while there is Russell Wilson leading the Seahawks along with their offensive coordinator, Darrell Bevell – another former Wisconsin quarterback and the one I watched play when I was there. It’s so exciting to see former Badgers doing so well, and I hope the game next week is as outstanding as it should be.

It was a very low-key week this week. I was felled by some mysterious virus that kept me at home due to a ongoing fever and the subsequent aches and pains. Jim was in Savannah, so it made things a little more difficult. I honestly don’t remember much of this week at all until Friday, when my fog finally lifted. I am doing much better and am looking forward to going back to work tomorrow – as weird as that sounds.

Reviewed this week:

  • Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse
  • Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd
  • Princesses Behaving Badly by Linda Rodriguez McRobbie
  • The Secret of Magic by Deborah Johnson

Without further ado, it is time to begin family time. Have a great Sunday and an even better week!
