The Setting Powders.

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Review - Setting PowdersThis might be a bit of a boring topic but setting powders is something my combination skin can not live without. I know a lot of people can find them cakey but for me they are perfect for keeping my foundation in place especially on my oily t-zone.
I currently have three on rotation which are all slightly different and I use them on different days depending how my skin is.
The Rimmel Lasting Finish Powder Foundation (£6.99) is for days when I want more coverage. This can be worn alone or over liquid foundation as it does give some coverage but still feels light.
This does a great job at keeping my skin matte and giving me a really full coverage finish. This is great for when I need my base to last a good 12 hours plus.
The newest addition is the Magic Minerals Self Correcting Mineral Makeup*. (£9.99) Not only does it help to keep my skin matte the color correctors in it help to camouflage any discolouration.
I think this is meant to be used as a mineral foundation but I don't find it gives enough coverage for my liking so I use it over a light foundation when my skin is red and generally acting up. This just helps to even it all out. It is also a great one to take in your handbag as it comes with a small brush that is surprisingly good and a decent size mirror in the compact.
The third powder is one I recently mentioned in my February favourites. The Gosh Primer & Mattifying Setting Powder (£9.99) does exactly what it says on the tin. You can use it as either a primer which is what I mainly use it for but on those extra oily days or if I want to use something translucent I use this as a setting powder.
It is a loose powder so can be a bit messy but it is very light the tiniest amount does the job of setting foundation into place.
I probably don't need all three powders but I am a make up junkie so what do you expect? All three do a great job.
Do you use a setting powder? What is your favourite?
