SK-II has paid homage to Pitera – the miracle ingredient that is the star of SK-II’s extensive skincare line. A first-ever Pitera House has been established at Tangs Orchard, showcasing SK-II’s Pitera-infused products. The Pitera House will be open to public till 11 Aug 2013.

What is Pitera, really? We hear it over and over again from SK-II users, friends, TV commercials and magazine ads but what is it? It is a bio-ingredient produced from the fermentation of a naturally-occuring yeast. I’ve been using the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, off and on, for almost 8 years now. I used to reserve it for days when my skin is irritated and blotchy but now, I use it fairly regularly. It really does leave skin smoother and clearer with regular use. Another 2 favourites are the Cellumination Essence Ex and the New Stempower Essence – both have a great lotion-texture that melt into skin.
