I'm impressed by the way the book turned out. I didn't think much of it until the last fifteen or so chapters. I didn't think it was a bad book, it was readable enough but I didn't think the plot was very original. I've read quite a lot of books featuring the martial tangles of the husband, his ex-wife and his new wife. I didn't think anything new or original was on offer until the last chunk of the book when everything turned on it's head and The Next Wife became something quite special. I really enjoyed this in the end and loved where the author took the story.
