The Movie: World War Z (2013)
Studio: Paramount Pictures
Director:Marc Forster
Starring:Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, Mireille Enos as Karin Lane, James Badge Dale as Captain Speke, David Morse as Ex-CIA Agent and Peter Capaldi as W.H.O. Doctor
Screenwriters:Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard and Damon Lindelof based on the book by Max Brooks
The story starts with Brad Pitt (Gerry) who is stay-at-home dad with two daughters and a loving wife. The film is fast paced and does become an action blockbuster. Eventually you might think it’s something like Brad Pitt Vs the zombies but it surely is interesting.
It is based on a bestselling novel by Max Brooks, and directed by 'Quantum of Solace' director Marc Forster. It has moments of horror, panic, tension, curiosity and thrill. The part when Gerry thinks he is infected and climbs to the rooftop to suicide the moment he realizes he might be infected puts you on the edge of your seat.
The Movie: World War Z
The movie is fast and furious. It snaps at times. The point when the most important character of the movie falls dead makes you blank for a while. Is this the end? You might think and then again the story picks up. Numerous encounters, zombies are well pictured. The Jerusalem sequence is like a flood of zombies. Well done cinematography.
I thought the movie ended abruptly; I wanted it to go on for another 30 minutes or so. This movie definitely won’t disappoint you. It might be a bit gross for someone. But overall I liked it.
