The Home Depot Shopping Spree!

By Pinkwhen @pinkwhen
Working with the Home Depot Campaign to beautify my outdoor spaces has been really fun.  Mostly because I get to create things, and for this post, I was sent to BUY things!  What girl doesn't like to shop, right?  While I was given a certain budget to use, I did go above and beyond to grab a few extras, which is why I am calling this a "Spree".  (It's like my husband goes fishing and the fish he caught gets bigger and bigger...when I shop a certain length of time, the bigger and bigger my receipt tends to be!)  Anyway....I digress.
As you probably recall from my previous posts here and here, I have finally decided on my outdoor projects.  With these projects I need supplies, so I headed over to The Home Depot and got my shopping fix in for the day. Picture The Home Depot The first thing on my list was the pressure washer.  (I am SO excited to finally have this baby in hand! If it wasn't raining here yesterday, I would have already cleaned everything!)  Here is the pressure washer I decided to go with:  Picture Homelite 2700 PSI Gas Powered Pressure Washer I received a lot of help from the wonderful staff at my local Home Depot.  Keisha and Barbara were on hand to help with anything I needed.  This particular pressure washer was not in stock on a bottom rack I could reach, so Barbara and Keisha took measures to make sure I received exactly what I was looking for. Picture Safety First! Keisha blocking the aisles off so that the folk lift could be used and no patrons would be in harms way in case something happened. Picture Here is a picture of Barbara grabbing my pressure washer from the top shelf! This lady knows how to operate big machinery! After she and Keisha graciously loaded the Homelite Pressure Washer into my buggy, Barbara and I spoke a little about which products I should look at for the multi purpose pressure washer.  She suggested a multi purpose cleaner when I told her that I wanted to tackle my fence, house, and concrete areas on my patio. Picture Zep All in 1 Pressure Washing Concentrate After I left the tool area, I headed outdoors so I could buy all of the things I need to #DigIn to for my patio!  The first thing I ran into was this awesome aisle full of planters.  I love planters, and I could't resist showing you a picture of their awesome selection. Picture Planter Selection at my local Home Depot. While I did not get any planters for the projects I plan on tackling, I do plan on going back for some.  The selection is colorful and I found some I really wanted.  However, I had a list, and next on that list was herbs for my Pallet Herb Garden I plan on making.
After looking through their great selection, I finally decided on what I know we would use the most.  I cannot tell you how excited we are about this.  We picked Parsley, Sweet Mint, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Sage, and Spearmint. Picture Herbs for the Pallet Herb Garden Project Picture I grabbed a few light gardening tools to help with my pallet project. Did you notice the sticker prices? HELLO! Awesome... By the way, have you seen The Home Depot Pinterest Board?  A ton of awesome ideas and inspiration for your home can be found.  Mark that page and check them out when you get a chance, you won't be disappointed!
Last up on my list was the Succulents.  I had a GREAT time finding these.  I am excited about the lack of water and tending they need, and they are absolutely gorgeous!  I will be making another little project with these, and I cannot WAIT to share them. Picture Checking out with the Succulents we picked out. LOVE these! We are all set and ready to #DigIn to our Spring projects.  Our shopping experience at The Home Depot was wonderful, complete with a knowledgeable and safety minded staff to answer all of the questions we had.
By the way, I added a protection warranty that was suggested by the team at The Home Depot for my Homelite Pressure Washer.  I am a full believer in buying  these for products that are more than $100.
I am off to get to work on these projects, see you again soon!
