I have an affinity obsession towards starbursts (which is completely separate from my obsession with Starburst Candy).
Living in Jersey City is hard to not absorb all of the amazing artistic energy that busts throughout this urban landscape. Thanks to Instagram and a few clicks, I stumbled upon the most amazing necklace from the most amazing store that now makes me write amazing run on sentences. Seriously though, I am madly in love...you will be to0.
The Starry Pendant Necklace is available exclusively at Kanibal & Co. and is a collaboration with Jersey City-based designer Arcos Jewelry. The carved brass disc pendant is inscribed with PER AUDACIA AD ASTRA (Latin translation: "Through boldness to the stars" - it doesn't get any better than that!)
Available with an approximate 2mm rose cut diamond in either white or black and a chain length of either 18″ or 30″. Also available in sterling silver and 14k yellow gold via custom order.

Kanibal & Co. is a lifestyle store located in downtown Jersey City, NJ comprised of refurbished vintage furniture, found objects and new home decor, apparel and gift items. The shop stocks a rotating collection of goods that are both forward-thinking and rooted in tradition.
Since the opening of its brick-and-mortar location in 2009 (under the name Kanibal Home), we have collaborated with local talent to produce an eponymous line of apparel, home goods and paper products. The shop also holds monthly craft classes taught by local artists.
Arcos is the production work of Allison R. Cannarsa, a New York native, artist and jeweler who values thoughtful and affordable design. Inspired by the ethos of the Bauhaus and Ray and Charles Eames, and the work of metal artists like Alexander Calder and Tone Vigeland, she is committed to producing high quality, handmade jewelry within reach.
All of her pieces are made of pure sterling silver or brass, often mixed with semi-precious stones. No plating, imitation or low quality materials are used, and every piece is designed and made by Allison in her Jersey City studio. The work is inspired by objects and ideas that she loves, which most likely involve the Subconscious, ancient relics, Modernism, Brutalism, masked performance, abstracted nature, mystery, and all things ceremonial.
