Johnny Rockets made its debut in India only in 2014 in Delhi NCR and ever since have opened closed to 4 more outlets. With the newest and its first flagship South India outlet in Bangalore. Johnny Rockets is known for its fun and frolic filled environment where the staff dances at every occasion possible and cheered with customers. The menu here comprises of fried appetizers, salads, shakes, burgers and desserts. Being a Burger oriented diner it hosts some amazing dishes that cannot be missed. We even visit the kitchen to witness all the action.
But we kicked off with some shakes and appetizers. The Chocolate Madness shake was amazing. Made from real Vanilla icecream and loads of chocolate, this thick shake is truly American. Next we had the Strawberry and Banana Shake, yet another thick shake with Strawberry and Banana. At first I was reluctant to try it out but it turned out to be quite a surprise. On the appetizers end we tried the Onion Rings and Cheese Fries in a half and half combination. The Onions rings needs a special mention as they were made from sourdough and were fantastic.
At Johnny Rockets its all about the burgers which you can customize at your will. I had The Spicy Houston with a Paneer Patty. The burger is spicy from the Jalapenos and Pepper Jack Cheese. The Burger comes with veggies like Lettuce and tomato along with a dressing of Smokin Chipotle Ranch Sauce. The burger was delicious. But my favorite burger out of the lot was the Smoke House. This simple yet flavorful burger had an ultimate Veggie patty with crispy sourdough onion rings, cheddar cheese, and Smoke House BBQ Sauce.
Overall Johnny Rockets has adapted to the Indian taste. The staff are very friendly. Had a great interaction with Mr. Bakshish, the head Chef at Johnny Rockets, who also shared stories of how this brand came to India and the expansion plans in the years to come.
