The Hangout Music Festival has an amazing lineup for 2016, and all tickets are now sold out. The festival is being held this year on the beautiful white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, with gates now open and performances beginning at 8:30pm (Due to weather)! The box office is open, shuttles are running for those that have shuttle tickets, through Sunday, May 22nd, rain or shine!
This year’s lineup features The Weeknd, Calvin Harris, Florence + the Machine, Alabama Shakes, Ellie Goulding, Lenny Kravitz, Flume, Cage the Elephant, Panic! At The Disco, Haim, Grimes, Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram), Jason Isbell, The Chainsmokers, Miike Snow plus over 65 more acts.
Hangout Music Festival is the first and only festival of its kind. The extraordinary beach backdrop and sandy walkways make Hangout Music Festival an alluring destination for music fans. Unique food offerings include fresh local seafood prepared by renowned national and regional chefs (Think Ford Fry, Wesley True and Ryan Prewitt).
The Hangout Music Festival is located just a few miles from the Florida border, at the “T” of Beach Boulevard (Alabama Highway 182 & 59). You will be hard pressed to find parking, so I suggest cab service or uber.
If wanting To see The Hangout Festival by boat, beware- boats are banned within 500 feet of the grounds, and there is no docking.
Stay hydrated with free water fountains and filling stations available throughout the grounds, but if searching for alcohol, bring cash as you will not be allowed to bring your own. ATM’s are onsite.

The Gulf Shores area offers a variety of vacation rentals including condos, hotels and beach houses – many of which are located within walking or biking distance to the festival. Wristband Activation
This year, The Hangout Festival is requiring wristband registration. Registered wristbands allow staff to quickly and efficiently verify attendees’ identity and troubleshoot any wristband issues experienced during the festival. Plus, by activating, attendees are automatically entered into a drawing to win a ticket to the 2017 Hangout Music Festival!

Camp Hangout
Report to the beach for a new festival experience – Camp Hangout. We’re playing tug-of-war, cranking up the slip and slide, painting faces, launching water balloons and other classic camp adventures. Butch Anthony’s teepees are featured as part of Camp Hangout.
Wedding Chapel
Get hitched at Hangout. Easier than Vegas, divorce included. We’ll also be hosting 14 real weddings during the weekend. All weddings are officiated by Tommy Calloway & Adam Meir ([email protected])
Big Tap
The Big Tap is bringing you craft beers, plus your carnival favs including Mega Drop, a Pirate Ship, carnival games and more surprises.
Hangout Shuttles
The festival’s prepaid shuttle service gives fans a comfortable ride from local condos and hotels to and from the Festival each day. Our new flexible shuttle pass allows you to ride any shuttle line. Plus, everyone who buys a shuttle pass is automatically entered into the Hangout’s famous “Golden Shuttles” (presented by AL.com) program that surprises random buses with popup concerts, prizes, VIP upgrades and even cupcakes! Shuttles begin running each day at 11 am and run continuously all day. The last shuttle leaves 30 minutes are the final show of the evening.
Hangout SUPER VIP Chefs
Three award-winning chefs are part of the SUPER VIP food experience. We’re bringing you an all-star lineup featuring some of the Southeast’s most acclaimed chefs. Chow down on gourmet dishes prepared by Ford Fry (Renowned Restaurateur), Wesley True (Bravo’s Top Chef), and Ryan Prewitt (2014 James Beard Award Winner).

Alabama Gulf Seafood
This year, the Alabama Gulf Seafood Courtyard will be located directly across from the Hangout on the boardwalk and flanked by large, blue Alabama Gulf Seafood containers.
