Texas Sliders

Saturday, Top Girl thought we may like supper made for us after the 2-day yard sale we had (and we were) so as she was frying chicken tenders she had her husband bring us a couple.

We were so tired that evening, we didn’t even eat. But the next day as we were watching football, Mr. Picky eater said he was hungry. I wanted to do something with the chicken tenders because she had done the hardest part by cooking them – it only took me a few minutes to decide what to do: Make Texas Sliders! I call them Texas Sliders because I used Texas Toast. I suppose you could use those frozen chicken tenders as well.

First you fry or bake the chicken and if they are this big, slice them down the middle:

Then you make skillet toast with the Texas Toast – if you don’t know what skillet toast is, just butter one or both sides of the bread and put it in a non-stick skillet and toast.

Texas Sliders

Take ¼ cup of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon ketchup, and ½ teaspoon horseradish sauce and mix.

Lay one piece of bread down; add some of the spicy mayo, put on lettuce, onion, and pickle:
