If you are looking for an app to help teach your child how to tell time and read a clock then I can highly recommend checking out Tell the Time with Bubbimals by Playerthree. This is a fun app which will instantly appeal to kids with it's colourful interface and animated speaking clock. There are five stages of learning to suit all levels which starts with learning to tell the time by hours only and progresses through to Hours and half hours, Hours, half hours and quarter hours, Hours, half hours, quarter hours, five minutes to the full use of hours and minutes. It also has both UK and USA learning modes.

Ben loves playing with Mr Clock and setting the time. He is definitely getting the hang of telling the time by hour only so I think it is now time to move to the next stage and introduce him to half hours. I like the fact that, as a parent, I can set the learning stage and easily watch how my son is progressing before choosing to move to the next stage when I think he is ready. Also, I have to say, I love the narration which is a child's very cute voice rather than computer generated narration which serves to give Mr Clock a lot of character and personality.
This is a simple, yet very effective and engaging app to help young children learn to tell the time. Tell the Time with Bubbimals is available to download from the app store for £1.99 and is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
