Technology Road Trip

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Health and Fitness Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

We are heading to Wisconsin after work tonight for the weekend. Since we haven’t been since Christmas it felt like the right time to head that way. This is a long boring drive. Around 5 hours with not a whole lot to see or do on the way.

But  thanks to Verizon we will be entertained. Using both the Samsung Galaxy Tab and my Droid Razr HD, we will stream music when we get tired of same radio stations, I can catch up on emails, finish a book, read a magazine or play a game when I just can’t sit still anymore.

Favorite Road Trip Apps:

iExit

$0.99 cents in the Google Play Store. This lets you know what restaurants, hotels, gas stations are coming up. Very helpful when you want to stop for a specific treat!

License Plate Game. That one you played as a kid is now on phones and tablets. Free and a pretty good way to pass some time.

Waze. Navigation with traffic, lets you know what’s going on around you. This has saved me so much time!

And when we get to my Mom and Bill’s we can finish watching Breaking Bad at night (if you aren’t watching this, you must!). We are in the middle of Season 3 and are obsessed. Awesome show.
