A Montreal tattoo shop was fined a heavy penalty of 3500$ USD after they tattooed a thirteen year old girl. We’ll that is a lot of money for a cheap 30$ tongue piecing.

The fine was filed by a court of Quebec judge who ruled that the tattoo shop owner and employees should pay the father of the girl whose tongue they pierced. Under Quebec law, a person under 14 cannot solely consent to any services that put his/her life to danger.

The fine is ordered to be paid jointly by the whole tattoo shop team. The shop’s owner Daniel Tremblay said, it was a hard decision for him to follow and that they would not appeal against it as justice was served.
