Swirls!

By Marensmorsels @marentweets

Hi friends. Happy Monday!

Are you ready to get back to normal around here? I am. Unfortunately, deciding you’re ready for things to get back to normal and them actually going back doesn’t happen that easily. Life doesn’t work that way. But deciding is the first step and I’m telling you that I’m taking it!

It’s called progress…

Swirls!

I needed a sip of coffee to get through that one. Progress is kinda scary.

Anyways, I had something totally delicious this morning for breakfast. I figured since I’m taking all these steps toward moving on or “progress”, I needed some good ole’ fashioned breakfast… you know, to start the day right.

Swirls!

A cinnamon raisin loaf butt! I love the bread butts. It’s all about the crust… and as a crust averted person for the first 15+ years life, that says a lot.

I’m not really sure what it says, but it has to say something… I’ve grown as a person or I’m more mature… I don’t know.

I also had some K-cups!!!!! I had 1 Folgers caramel drizzle (holy delicious!!!) and 1 Gloria Jean’s Butter Toffee, this one with soymilk.

Some flavored coffees are just so much better with milk. Kahlua and Butter Toffee are two examples.

After my swirled breakfast I went to the gym because I haven’t been in about 3 trillion days and I’m tired of wasting my gym dollars.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical for 375 calories burnt. BOOYEAH! I feel like such an elliptical rock star that I decided to go to work in my workout clothes. BAM!

That’s just how the elliptical rock stars do it.

I learned something about myself in the last 2 weeks…

I clean and organize when I’m stressed!

If you’ve been on instagram then you’ve seen the proof, but I’m just so proud of it that I have to share it again.

I totally re-vamped my closet, chest of drawers and jewelry. First stop earrings (after the massive goodwill run of clothes/shoes/purses I got rid of ).

I used one of the walls from those cubes you can assemble that make little shelves. They were really popular when I went to college.

There they are. I swear every dorm I ever went in, including mine, had them. I used one of the sides and hung it on 2 clear push pins, this way it hangs a little away from the wall. It’s perfect for all those dangly earrings.

Then I went to town on my jewelry box and necklaces.

Necklaces are the worst because they always get tangled. I already had this fun wire wall décor-thing. I just turned it over so it could hang long ways (aka hotdog style) then I used all the little swirls as hooks. Doesn’t it look cool??

Now my jewelry box top is reserved for stud earrings, the drawer is reserved for bracelets and my watches live in their boxes right next the the jewelry box.

Life feels so much better… and I love sitting in my room and gazing at my lovely jewelry corner. Sigh.

Tell me about you!!! I want to know…

What is your favorite flavored coffee?

Pumpkin Spice!

What do you do when your stressed?

Apparently I clean… and I eat lots of pudding.
