Whilst Christmas shopping the other day I took a little detour to Superdrug to check out some of their new product launches and treat myself to a few things. (As a reward for all the shopping for other people I had been doing you see - Girl logic)After reading the lovely Joanna's (Mademoiselle Lala) blog post on the new MUA palettes I knew I had to check them out. MUA do my favorite eye shadows and there hasn't been one palette that I haven't liked.
MUA have an offer on currently, if you spend £8 you get the new Twelfth Night Palette free which was one of the things I wanted.
As the palettes are £4 each I decided to pick up the two other new ones, Romantic Efflorescence and Hall Of Fame. All 3 palettes are fairly neutral based but with a few other shades thrown in. I can not wait to give these all a test run.
(Could I say palette any more times?)
The two other products I bought were lip creams. I am going through a bit of a nude/my lips but better lipstick phase at the moment and after reading every lip related post on Laura's (Buy Now, Blog Later) blog I decided to search these two items out. (FYI I don't think anyone does nude lips better than Laura, that woman could make me buy anything)
The first one was the Barry M Loud Mouth Extreme Lip Colour in Tell-Tale. I am not actually sure this was the shade she had but this is a gorgeous milky/nude pink shade that has great pigmentation but can also been worn more sheer too.
Secondly the Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Petal. This is a more lavender pink but still wearable and the formulation reminds me of the Hourglass Liquid Lipsticks.
I have tried both of these products on and they both feel comfortable on the lips but unsure how they wear over a long period of time, I will get back to you on that one.
I am really pleased with everything I picked up and now I just need to get over this damn cold I have so I can slap on all this lovely new make up.
