Summer Wardrobe Edit With Asos Curve

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Asos is one of my favorite brands for buying fashion, in particular plus size fashion.  Their "Asos Curve" collection is bang on trend and always have an amazing sale on. I was in desperate need of revamping my summer wardrobe and so I turned to Asos for a few key pieces.
Summer Wardrobe Edit With Asos Curve This dress is in 70's floral style and has a floor length straight skirt maxi with a split in the back to make movement easier.
The 70's trend is really popular right now but wearing flares and mini skirts just 'ain't my thing, so I wanted to incorporate the 70's style into something more formal and wearable for Summer time. I reckon I could wear this Asos dress to a wedding, a party, a BBQ or even on the beach because adding simple accessories will change up how formal this dress is.
Summer Wardrobe Edit With Asos Curve Printed skirts scare me a bit, but not half as much as printed tops do! Printed tops always make me look a little bit square and top heavy whereas a printed skirt with a plain top or shirt balances me out ever so slightly. I don't feel very confident showing off my legs, so midi skirts are definitely right up my street. This one has a geometric print and is Monochrome which, even in the summer is definitely my favorite style.
I teamed the skirt with a plain black top, a delicate gold necklace, sunnies and an oversized wide brimmed hat. In hindsight looking at this picture, I would add a waist cinching belt to really nip my waist in.
Summer Wardrobe Edit With Asos Curve I don't suit hats at all. They make my head look bigger and seeing as I already have a big head, I don't want it looking any bigger.  I might not suit hats but I have been desperate to find a hat that I can wear without feeling like I have a head the size of the Empire State building. I found one on Asos and it doesn't look half bad if I do say so myself.
I love wearing this with sunglasses because it balances out my face.
You don't really need to buy a lot to update your wardrobe for summer. Summer only lasts 12 weeks or so (or in Scotland, 3 weeks maximum!), so I recommend investing in a few key pieces and spending very little buying strappy tops, tshirts and shirts which can be replaced year on year, but your signature pieces will still be good for a few years - or sell them on Depop or Ebay and buy more signature pieces!
