Summer is fast approaching and while everyone is working on deepening their natural tans I'm working on perfecting my fake one. Yes, I am a professed fake tan addict and I feel no shame, mainly due to the fact that my skin has two colors: Ghostly and Red. I don't tan I burn and after I burn I go back to being pale, it's a cruel process really.
The only thing better than having a great tan is having the natural glow it gives your skin, but if you're tan comes in a bottle with a pump it's a little harder to get...
That's where this comes in, bareMinerals Bronze Splendor. It's a simple 3 piece set that gives you a beautiful natural looking glow. Consisting of a full size compact bronzer/luminizer duo, a tapered fan brush, and a lip balm this set was made for perfecting the natural bronzed look.
The compact comes with a bronzer shade in The High Dive and a luminizer shade in The Long Weekend.
The bronzer reminds me a lot of Nars Laguna because the color is so soft and finely milled. It's easy to work with and allows me to use it as a contour shade or blush depending on how tan I am at the time.
The luminizer is a gorgeous soft champagne shade that can be used as a highlight or even as a blush which is what I've been using it as lately. Using the tapered fan brush(which is perfect for contouring/highlighting/blush) I sweep it across my cheek bones and blend it down slightly and it leaves a soft glowy look rather than just looking like a overly frosted hot mess.
The set also comes with a Jack of All Trades lip balm in the shade Lean on Me. I don't know if it's a shade I would've picked out for myself because it looks a bit more brown toned than I prefer but I'm so glad it came with this set! It's the perfect my lips but better color and is light but long lasting. I've been wearing this everyday since I got it and love how it makes my lips look fuller without looking like I have anything on them.
It's the perfect compliment to the bronzer duo as it keeps in theme with the soft, natural look and doesn't overpower the cheeks it simply completes the look while looking effortless.
