Summer Drawings - III

By Pmeurice

Good to take the time to experiment on Watercolour Medium!

As it's been said earlier in this blog, still lifes are the perfect pretext for study... I could find, on a shelf, a very old red coffee pot. (I believe this was once owned by my great grand ma... ).  I added limes, and some other fruits to play with colors, values and shapes. Fresh colors, and summer tones. Here it is:

Red Coffee Pot

Holidays are coming to an end... I could use a bit of the time to read some books from an Artist I particularly like: Charles Reid.

A lots of useful advises on the way to use colors and to consider their values... As well, a strong sense of using the particularities of Watercolour medium.

Beautiful work, inspiring, and... getting you to your brushes, feeling like to do more:

Certainly more to come, working this way, playing with the colours and with the old coffee pot.
