Successful Side Hustle Series: Clarify Your Offer

Clarify Your Offer

We talked about nailing down your sweet spot – the intersection of what you love doing and what people will pay you for – in part 1. Today we want to work on really clarifying your offer so that your ideal client knows exactly how you can help them. Here’s the thing about creating offers. The more complicated your offer, the more likely the chance that your audience will have no idea what you’re actually offering. We’ve all seen it before, you check out a website and there are so many services, products and bells & whistles that you’re not entirely sure what the business is supposed to help you with.

You want to create a clear, obvious solution to your audience’s pain point.

At times, your solution may even seem boring. Think about the problem, issue or pain-point your audience is facing:

  • I’m unhealthy
  • I hate my job
  • I’m single and lonely

Next think about the solution to these issues:

  • I will help you lose 10 pounds
  • I will help you find your ideal career
  • I will help you find your perfect relationship

You know exactly what those businesses provide. And if you’ve landed on that site with one of those problems, you bet you’re going to want to learn more.

In order to get more clear on the solution you’re provided to your ideal client, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What problem am I solving with my offer?
  2. Why does the world need this?
  3. What makes you uniquely suited to solve this problem?
  4. What is possible with your help?

Now you have a crystal clear picture of the solution you’re providing to the world.

What is your clear-cut offer? Let us know down in the comments below!
