How would you describe your personal style?
I would say my style is a relaxed, comfortable, practical (for running around with pets and family) and colourful. It is generally classic pieces with a bit of fun with colour and print.
Wearing pieces that you feel comfortable in, then you will be happy and relaxed (a good smile makes everything look better). Buying pieces that you feel flatter your body and show off the bits you love. Wearing colours that make you glow. I like quality pieces (this doesn't always mean expensive, but I generally do find you need to invest to get good pieces). The style part for me is in the colour combinations and a touch of print in my bags, shoes or a scarf. I often adore some corporate style on insta, but it just doesn't fit in my lifestyle anymore. Great style to me is showing your personality and just being you!
Colour colour colour. Definitely wearing one that suits my skin tone and then a tailored piece that suits my shape.
It's not you, it's the clothes! I used to be so hard on myself, thinking if something didn't fit me it was my fault. I then decided to invest regularly in getting the pieces tailored to fit me perfectly and boy it made a huge difference! I am short waisted and often buy dresses that don't have a defined waist. But to make sure they are not sacks, I will get the odd dart put in. I also like to show off my ankles as they are the slimmest part of my body, so will regularly get pants taken up to the perfect length.
Great shoes! My aunty told me when I was young that your shoes are the last thing people look at. So I often get some fun print or colourful shoes that add some fun to my everyday mum style outfits!
