Stylish Loungewear for Cozy Nights at Home

During the winter, with those cold nights where it gets dark by 5pm, it's easy to make every night a cozy home night. Does it feel any better than a lazy night on the couch in comfy clothes when it is cold outside? Seriously, I don't like to leave my house after dark until, like, April. This makes loungewear very important. You know, because of the self-imposed hibernating, and all.

I can't be alone in my winter weather preferences. If this is also you, take a look at these stylish loungewear looks.

One of my favorite things to wear around the house are loungewear bottoms, and I particularly like them from Uniqlo, like the drawstring pair above. Admittedly, I have even worn mine out of the house to run quick errands. At home, typically, what I do is just throw on a tank top, like this one from J. Crew, and I am good to go. If I get cold, I throw on a layering piece, like the fluffy cardigan above. In old NYC apartments we rarely get to control how much heat we get. Typically apartments are heated to Turkish sauna level. To round out this loungewear look, I added these paisley slippers from Bedroom Athletics, Tea Forté black tea set and this super soft throw from Giraffe at Home.

Here is another look using a pair of loungewear pants, the above style from J. Crew in a classic plaid. These would be perfect for a morning of opening Christmas gifts or a fun winter trip somewhere snowy. I created a comfy outfit using this henley and mockneck poncho style from the Gap. I added these playful slippers from Haflinger a soft throw from Charter Club, bath salts from Ahava and a scented candle from Nest.

Pajama bottoms may not be your idea of loungewear. Instead, you like a large nightshirt or oversized top. Paired with leggings, you consider it heaven. For you, I styled this soft loungewear tunic top from Boden with a pair of Uniqlo Heattech leggings that actually get warmer as you wear them. Perfect for those who run cold. In addition to warming leggings, I added these fuzzy slipper booties from Isotoner, a colorful throw from Nordstrom, face mask from Fresh, chocolate toffee, and a manicure kit.

Hanging out at home can be just as luxurious as a exciting night out. Be sure to pamper yourself with some comfy jammies to really enjoy it. Check out these additional styles below.
