I have been such a sucker for good statement coats, that when this one popped up on Shopbop's website, I bought it right away, also assuming-"it would get sold out faster than a flash sale." I really feel fortunate to have ordered this without any ado, coz it did get sold out in flash. Well, sometimes website stalking just pays off.

I have had so many strangers, both on the streets and the airport compliment me on this coat, that it has now started to feel like a treasured piece in my closet. The fit, the style and the broad belt at the back especially, just blows my mind. I've worn it with a jumpsuit ( Instagram pic only ) and plan on wearing it over everything. The pictures for today don't really do justice to those mint jeans, which otherwise appear white here. It's probably due to too much exposure. Truth be told, I am enjoying how under that winter daylight the mint jeans gives an illusion of a subtle shade of white, making this look inadvertently on point with yet another "white after labor day is allowed " trend.
