Style Swap Tuesdays - How to Wear Red on Red

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1

Today's style topic- " how to wear red without looking like SANTA ??"
Honestly speaking, wearing red without looking like Santa is no rocket science, just a few basic rules and the voice of your heart ( wink wink ) is all you need to nail a red on red look.
1) Red is a bold color and there is a shade of it for every skin tone. Choosing the right shade for one's undertone will not only compliment but also give an extra boost of sartorial confidence to pull off a monochromatic outfit.

2) To break the monotony, add a print, and no holiday prints please- whomp whomp !! The paisley print on my dress, helps keep the look understated but boring.
3) Keep your look streamlined. Avoid loose, ill-fitting clothes which otherwise will make you look like our good old Santa- no offense to anyone !
4) Adding one other color could also work in your favor. Gray and white, two strongly complimenting colors would just make your look all the more modern.
5) Add a statement piece of jewelry, if you want to shift the focal point from your monochromatic outfit to the statement jewelry. In my case the earrings make all the difference.
6) Last but not the least.....NO FUR  please !!!
