I love jewelry. Well, who doesn’t?! But what I mean is that I love both ‘proper’ jewelry and costume jewelry. It’s great to have a couple to nice, long-lasting pieces of jewelry which you can then mix with a more short-living costume jewelry. That’s why I completely adore my new tungsten ring from Modern Design Inc. It’s sleek, durable (ok, this sounds like I am talking about a kitchen appliance) and goes basically with anything and everything. It’s so comfortable to wear that I don’t even remember that I have a ring on. It looks like steel, but it certainly does not feel like steel. Ok, I have no clue how steel would feel wrapped around a finger, but let me go out on a limb here and say that I don’t think it would feel comfortable at all.
I love matching tungsten rings with metallic gold nail polish for a fun look. Oh, and I do not work at Vanity Fair – I only enjoy reading Vanity Fair when I have a moment to relax. The January Edition has absolutely fabulous photos of Catherine Deneuve. I so wish that I will look as fabulous and stylish as Catherine Deneuve when I ‘grow up’. She looks absolutely gorgeous.
But back to jewelry and tungsten rings… What’s fab about tungsten rings is that they are scratch resistant thus they will last ‘a lifetime’. Tungsten is also harder and more durable than gold and titanium. I had no clue that it’s also heavier, so when I got this tungsten ring from Modern Design Inc it felt really heavy when I took it out of the bag the first time. But as Modern Design Inc uses a ‘comfort fit’ in their tungsten rings, the ring fit perfectly to my finger and it does not feel heavy at all to wear nor does it bite into my finger. It just looks gorgeous!
My tungsten ring is actually from the men’s ring collection at Modern Design Inc. But hey, men should not be the only ones wearing this gorgeous, sleek ring. Even-though I would like to / could imagine this on Ryan Gosling or Bradley Cooper… Or maybe even George Clooney while he is sipping Nespresso and gazing into my eyes… Too much?! One can daydream, right…

Just measure you ring size carefully and click away. My ring is the ‘basic’ (that’s my jewelry lingo) tungsten ring and it’s size 8. I know, right?! Are my fingers bit ‘sausagey’??? On a positive note, if this ring looks nice on me I can bet that it will on you as well even if you have ‘finger-size shyness’.
It’s great to mix the quite simple and stylishly sleek design of the tungsten rings with a bit more sparkle to create a glamorous yet understated look.

I usually work from home but when I have to go to the office for a day I usually arm myself with my iPhone (which holds my whole life in it), my rings and my old and faithful DKNY bag.
