I think it's rare for Filipino women to abhor the razor, especially when in the shower. Let's face it: Media has already brainwashed society for plenty of generations now, and most men nowadays prefer women hair-free in certain areas. And women being women, we will always want whatever it is that can make us even just a tad bit more attractive than usual.

So here comes IPL (Intense Pulse Light). The technology has been around for some time now, and dermatology clinics around the country have been using IPL to zap unwanted body hair and improve skin condition. IPL is also tauted to be a lot similar to laser treatment, although the former uses various light wavelengths and the latter just single wavelength. For best results, six to 10 treatments are needed, with each treatment spaced one to three months apart.

Advantages of IPL Ace

Within 1 to 4 weeks of an IPL Ace session, patients will notice that the treated ‘old’ hair are starting to shed or fall off easily. New hair growth will happen after several more days, with each hair finer than before. Aside from the permanent results (less hair and improved skin), another advantage of IPL Ace is that it's reputedly gentler and less painful compared to laser. IPL Ace claims that it is more suitable for darker skin and fairer hair, as well.

Disadvantages of IPL Ace

You can only shave the area being treated. The service is also expensive and takes a long time to achieve results. Just look at the rates for each session below!!!

Has anyone ever tried IPL? What do you think? Since the risk of burning was far less with IPL, I might want to try it.
