Stix Desserts

By Takeeatfoodblog
Stix Desserts have been showing up on my Instagram feed non- stop and I knew I just had to pay Stix a visits and try it for myself! So after lunch at Orto Trading Co. (previous post) my friends and I took a little field trip though Surry Hills, stopping occassionally to take pictures of the cute little town houses. Stix Desserts is located on Crown St, Surry Hills- it is very close to Bourke St bakery and a couple of doors down from Kurtosh. Stix Desserts is a small store but as soon as you walk in you see the colourful cabinet with all the gelato sticks screaming out to you to eat them!

I felt like a kid running up to the cabinet containing all the colourful gelato sticks. You can sample them which is nice because some flavours may sound unique but tastes really good! I was a little disappointed because there wasn't the green tea flavor and there was actually less flavours today but the lady working there said that it changes everyday and it depends on the time you go there. I ended up getting the strawberries and cream flavor dipped in milk chocolate and thousands and thousands!

There were a lot of toppings to choose from and the lady kindly recommended thousands and thousands since that was the best combination with the strawberries and cream gelato. Luckily the day was cold because I was taking thousands of photos of my stix creation before eating it and it didn't melt at all! The gelato is really creamy and the combination of chocolate and thousands and thousands gives it the nice crunch and sweetness to it.

Picture Stix Desserts has sure made a name for itself over these past few months since opening. It's creative dessert idea has really captured a lot of people and it is becoming a famous icon on social media like Instagram. I definitely want to go back on a day that has a flavor I want to try!

Happy eating x
