I am a huge fan of lipsticks. But the sad part is that I am not able to finish them. since I go to the office regularly, I keep buying lipsticks but the point here is that I am not able to finish it up. I personally love nude colours. My skin tone is the perfect Indian tanned skin tone and those rusty brown colors look gorgeous on me.
And so I purchased 2-3 colors of similar type. but within the last 1 month, when I was craving for more lipsticks and actually different color on my lips, then that was the time when I realized that I had all similar shades. And then I decided not to buy any more shade until I am done finishing these colours. And this was the time when I decided to wait.
But of course I was visiting my friend’s place for a wedding and I needed a wedding to wear lipstick. And thus my hunt started for a dark-colored lipstick. Since I am a bit on darker skin tone, I have observed that dark colors look phenomenally good on me.
I could rock those colors quite easily. But I wanted a lipstick which is long staying and has a matte finish. I hate lipsticks with glossy finish because I feel they look the quite childish and teenage type.
After a lot of research, I decided to try this particular brand. I had never heard of this brand but I saw the swatches and the lasting power and I was bowled over. But I didn’t know that it is affordable. Keep reading ahead to know the full story.

How to apply:
Clean your lips with a lip scrubber of your choice. Let the lips air dry. Apply a thin layer of nude lip balm. Let it settle down. Now, take the lip brush and apply a very thin layer on the lower lips only. Dab the upper lip so that the colour gets transferred on the upper lip. You can apply the lipstick twice if you are looking for that opaque finish.

Stay quirky Liquid Lipstick Red – Too Hot for date night has a very amazing texture. The texture of this liquid lipstick is medium and comfortable. You get amazing opaque finish in just one swipe only. You can obviously reapply the shade to get that rich dark colour.
Texture of the liquid lipstick is non-drying and thus quite comfortable on the lips. Even if you wear this for longer hours, it will not make your lips dry. Actually, the liquid lipsticks are quite light on the lips. And after some time I actually forget that I am wearing this.
Coming to the shade Too Hot for a date night, this is a stunning true dark red maroonish shade. It is a perfect party red which will surely brighten up your complexion, mood, teeth and everything else.
How’s the fragrance?
These stay quirky lipsticks does not have any bothersome fragrance. So, sensitive noses need not worry here.
How’s the staying power?
This part is very important for me in the lipsticks. I expected them to have a good staying power. Because that’s what I heard from everyone. But here is the deal. The lipstick stays for an amazing time and it will not leave your lips for a very long time. But the catch here is that if you drink or eat anything, then it is gone.
Yes, as soon as you eat or drink anything the lipstick begins to fade from the center. That’s not at all a pleasant sight. But can’t help. Later I came to know that this problem is present in most of the liquid lipsticks. So, my hunt for matte long lasting lipsticks has started. Will update you if I come across anything which fits the bill here.

Stay quirky Liquid Lipstick Red – Too Hot for a date night is a stunning shade and I am totally in love with the application and pigmentation. But the staying power after meals is a major Con here. Thus, very sorry but I have to look for other brands and I am not going to repurchase any other shades.
