The Russian tennis revolution may have passed, but it is by no means dead.

The Russian players in the top 100 are all veterans nearing the end of their careers but that does not mean there aren’t any youngsters to take over. Evgeny Donskoy, Andrey Kuznetsov and Konstantin Kravchuk are all just outside the top 100.

A player who’s ranking betrays him currently is Karen Khachanov. At only 17, this 6’6″ missile launcher is ranked at 449 but don’t expect him to stay there very long. With heroes including Marat Safin and Juan Martin del Potro, he could potentially live up to those two. His goal in tennis is “to be in the top 100 by the end of 2014 and eventually be World No.1”
