Spring Cameo

By Scorpiondisco @scorpiondisco
Spring CameoSpring may be slow coming, but I've got my own secret weapon: The Dahlia peplum top from Aussie label Cameo that is the perfect ladylike statement piece for transitional dressing. The super-structured shape even adds extra interest when layered under jackets and blazers, for a referential silhouette that harkens to Victorian-era riding suits. In other words, if Lady Mary were going to NYFW, I'm pretty sure she would need to make a quick stop at Anthropologie for this striking top, one of the best state-side outposts to pick up pieces from Cameo. The architecture of the top definitely speaks for itself, so I kept the rest of the outfit simple and minimal - a really easy black jersey tube skirt and brown sandals stood up to the style but didn't detract from the beautiful shape and motif of the Cameo piece, or make the outfit busier than it already is. And the finishing touch - a streak of tangerine lipstick from Clarins - made the top's florals pop.Spring Cameo
