Welcome to the South Shore Fish Shack, bud! This little gem, tucked in the heart of downtown Lunenburg (if you can call such a quaint little place “downtown”), is home to the best fish n’ chips in the town. What better place to enjoy freshly caught Atlantic halibut than a teeny tiny shack with a sunny patio and a gorgeous view of the historic harbour? I spent a late sunny afternoon here with my lovely auntie Nancy when she visited me in Nova Scotia this June, and after a long day of walking around Mahone Bay and Lunenburg, those fish burgers and crispy fries really hit the spot. Take a deep breath and imagine the smell of frying fish mixing with the salty ocean breeze – pure heaven!
