South Indian breakfast trail#6-Sambar idly/minyidly/14 idly
I am back in track with this trail after 2 weeks. Some how I missed blogging about famous breakfast recipe of south India for the past two Fridays. So today here I am with an ever famous, most loved breakfast from Tamil nadu.I hope there is no need to rave about the greatness of idly or how fond it is to south Indians. As I have said before idly is almost synonymous to breakfast and it is a norm i most of the homes to prepare a batch of idlys every single day.Now with that said, the dish I am blogging today for our trail is really special and one of a kind dish.If you see recipe as a whole it may sound simple, yeah whats the big deal in making sambar, mini idlys and dunking them in sambar right?,no not really right :) Eating this sambar idly or 14 idly as known in restaurants is an experience in itself. Fresh steamed idlys dunked in piping hot sambar with a good dose of ghee or oil  is sure to seduce and tickle your taste buds and give a perfect start for your day, wanna know more?,lets enter the trail :)
For those who do not know, sambar idly is a famous breakfast where idlys are made in very small size and dunked in piping hot sambar. It is very famous in many restaurants.Usually 14 mini idlys make a serving and hence the name 14 idlys.I have already blogged about sambar idly, which is one of the most loved recipes here :). That was not vegan, while I tried recently I added oil in the place of ghee and it tasted even more great/Sesame oil is the best one to use.
1.First prepare idlys as mentioned here using mini idly mold.

Notes:
1.Do not make the sambar very thick,it should be a bit thin so as idlys can absorb it well.
2.If you do not have mini idly mold make regular idlys and cut them into bite size cubes. The taste will be same though the appearance will be different.
3,You can add finely chopped onions while serving.
