The unabated rains in several districts of Andhra Pradesh have badly hit normal life. But - the politics is unaffected.

Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu was in Srikakulam (AP) on Saturday. He was visiting the victims of cyclone 'Phailin' and subsequent floods. Naidu attacked all his rivals at once but focused mainly on Congress:
"The decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh was politically motivated. It did not come out of any respect to the sentiments of the people of the region. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi took the cruel decision only to fulfill her own dream of seeing son Rahul become the Prime Minister."
- N Chandrababu Naidu, TDP Chief
He criticised Congress joined hands with the YSR Congress party and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) for taking the decision of carving out separate Telangana.

"Do you know the history of Andhra Pradesh? You are playing with the future of our children only to make your son Prime Minister. Is it justified?"
- Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, YSR Congress chief

This was Jaganmohan's first rally after his release on bail last month. Jagan looked more confident as it pulled a massive crowd. Here is a report appeared in The Indian Express:
"Over two lakh people attended Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's public meeting for 'United Andhra' at L B Stadium on Saturday even as pro-Telangana groups questioned the government's decision to give permission to hold such a meeting in Hyderabad."
