Soap & Glory Trick and Treatment

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

It seems I am having a bit of a Soap & Glory rediscovery. A few years ago I was obsessed with the stuff, then as I broadened my horizons their make up and new body products passed me by but I am definitely catching up and loving everything of theirs at the mo!

I only got this last week but I am already in love with it and it has replaced my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer for under my eyes.

I don’t have puffy under eyes or wrinkles (yet) but I do suffer from dark circles which look more prominent now as my skin is paler, so any discolouration looks more obvious. Trick and Treatment (great name again!) not only claims to help hide darkness under the eyes, but helps to eliminate it too.

Using a variety of peptides and  HALOXYL™ it promises to help brighten dark under-skin pigment as time goes on. So far, I haven’t noticed any difference in my skin but I haven’t been using it long, so if I do I will let you know.

The cream is a yellow based concealer as this is one of the best colours to counteract darkness and purple tones often found under the eyes. It also includes soft-focusing spheres to minimize fine lines that can appear around the eyes with age, so really this is a multi-action product.

So how does it wear?

Well, the product is a fairly thick liquid that feels cooling on the skin and is very easy to blend in. I find using a brush first, then softening it with your finger works best. I have noticed though if your under eyes are dry, this won’t sit well so make sure you use a good eye cream beforehand (I like The Sanctuary Eye Gel, but S&G also do some great ones).

It brightens up the skin under my eyes really well, doesn’t look cakey or artificial and lasts all day. But if you have trouble with mascara smudging under your eyes (I do!) this won’t help things, so make sure you powder on top to stop this from happening.

Also it only comes in one colour, Bright On, so very dark skintones should give this a miss and hope that they make more shades with with the same results.

As always, it looks great in the packaging and the over-exaggerated picture makes me giggle but once again I am impressed. Impressed and happy.

So thank you Soap & Glory, you have someone waiting to be re-inducted into the fan club…

Available from Boots and online. Priced £9.00.
