I remember the moment perfectly- My family and I had just returned from a ski and s’mores trip in Deer Valley over my Christmas vacation. I stumbled into my mom’s office to poke through her mail like my typical nosy self. And there it was- The big envelope. To every senior in high school, the big envelope only means one thing, and I was ecstatic. I immediately ran around the house screaming my head off and went to bed that night dreaming of my future adventures at SMU.
And now it’s four years later and I’m done. I found my home in Delta Gamma and the Meadows School of the Arts but whether I’m ready or not, it’s time for me to be a big girl! Thanks to my truly wonderful professors, friends and family, I’m prepared to face the real world with the courage to always follow my dreams. Liz Taylor said it best, “So much to do, so little done, such things to be!”
