(Smart) together with Talk ‘N Text (TNT) and Sun Cellular (Sun) announced on Friday, September 26, 2014, that they will start providing free Internet access to its prepaid subscribers? Well, this is a special offer for almost 66 million subscribers of Smart, Talk 'N Text and Sun Cellular. But the free daily internet access is limited to 30 MB. According to Smart's Frequently Asked Questions, 30MB is enough to do ALL of these: post an average of 20 social media status with photos, 50 web pages loads, 20 plain emails and 15 minutes of music streaming.

If you're a Smart, Talk N Text and Sun Cellular subscriber and you want to avail of the promo, you must register each day, by simply sending “FREE” to the number “9999". You should also have an available airtime balance of at least one peso, or you must subscribed to any load bucket or promo. Registration to Smart Free Internet is free and you will receive a confirmation message upon successful registration.After getting the text message confirming that you are already subscribed to the promo, just turn on your smartphone's mobile connection and you may now start browsing using your free 30 MB data allocation for the day.
NOTE: If you are currently registered to any of Smart's data package, your existing data subscription will NOT be affected, and you will still be allowed to register to the Free Internet special offer.
While using the Smart Free Internet special offer and you access the sites/apps that are EXCLUDED under the promo terms, these transactions will be charged against your existing data subscription.
The Free Internet special offer EXCLUDES the following:
- Download, stream and watch videos (Youtube, Vimeo)
- Use VOIP apps (FaceTime, FaceTime Audio, Skype, Viber, Tango)
- Use messaging apps (Whatsapp, WeChat, Line, Viber)
- Peer-to-peer file-sharing sites and apps like Bittorrent
