Skincare For The Bump.

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Body Butter and oils for a baby bumpI have never really taken that much care of the skin on my body, I have gone through phases of using moisturiser religiously but I soon get bored or too lazy to do it. The only time my legs used to get moisturised is when I shaved them once a week. (Bad Alice)
Since being pregnant and knowing my skin is prone to stretch marks I have become obsessed with slathering on body lotions, body butters and oils.
I make sure I moisturise bump twice a day and my full body once, occasionally twice but the evenings are pretty much right offs for me as I am so tired.
I thought I would share with you some of my favorite body lotions and potions to help keep my bump smooth, soft and stretch mark free as possible.
Weleda Citrus Refreshing Body Oil (£13.95) - My mom got me the Weleda All Boxed Up Beauty box (review here) and this lovely oil was inside.
The Citrus Refreshing Oil is quite a basic oil, with the main ingredient being Almond Oil which is great at keeping the skin nourished. It also has Lemon Peel Oil to help give it that citrus scent.
This is quite thick but does sink into the skin well once massaged in, I can use this morning and night and don't need to wait for it to sink in to long before getting dressed.
The Body Shop Body Butters (£13) - I have been a long term fan of The Body Shop Body Butters, I've lost count of how many I have used up. They are quite a thick consistency but they leave the skin feeling so smooth and soft for a good 24 hours. The main ingredients in them are Shea and Cocoa Butter which are both great to keep stretch marks at bay.
Favourites of mine are the Cocoa Butter and Wild Argan Oil, both have a lovely scent that isn't floral and lasts on the skin all day.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Use Dry Oil (£28) - If you like the thought of an oil but don't like the feel of them then this dry oil from Nuxe is the one for you. It comes in a glass bottle with a spray applicator so you can't use too much or spill it. The texture of it is really light and leaves the skin feel nourished without being oily. I like using the Nuxe oil when I am in a rush as its so quick and easy to apply, again it doesn't have a strong scent so great for daytime use.
As well as being good for the skin this is also great for the ends of you hair and I have even used it on my face. A great multi tasking oil.
