Shopping My Stash: Lip Products

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
The changing of seasons can mean a change up in the makeup routine, and with this new season I'm determined to make use of some of my unloved lip products. Shopping your stash is always a great way of rediscovering old favourites and in turn saving yourself some money as you don't need to go out and add even more to your makeup collection, and this time I wanted to concentrate on lip products as I've seen a move from bright pinks to darker shades and also nudes this Autumn. Of course I'm still lusting over the perfect berry shade and also a plum lipstick that is a bit more out of my comfort zone, but for now I'm happy to fall back in love with these forgotten lip products!

Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial - This opaque lip lacquer is something that I've fallen in and out of love with so many times since I added it to my stash at the start of this year, but I'm determined to get more wear out of it now that we're into Autumn. Celestial is a lovely dusty pink color that shows up very clearly against my paler skin, although I know that it can look a lot more neutral on skin tones that are darker than mine.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling - This balm stain is so easy to use for everyday wear and touch-ups during the day, and the lilac toned pink color is just such so pretty on the lips. This color is different to what I'd normally wear (namely neutral pinks and nudes) so I'm looking forward to switching up my natural makeup look with this beaut.

Look Beauty Lip Slick in Buff (#2) - I've not been much of a lipgloss wearer lately as I much prefer the finish of lipsticks and lip stains, but this nude shade is one that I'm so glad to have rediscovered. Buff is a warmer toned nude lipgloss that isn't too sticky or gloopy on the lips, and what's even better is that it looks great on its own or layered over a nude lipstick.

MAC Lipstick in Hue - This is one of the most talked about MAC lipstick shades and for good reason too as it's such a great nude color for the lips. Hue is a lovely pink toned nude that is definitely one of those 'your lips but better' colours (for me at least). The formula is nice and moisturising which makes such a difference and the yummy vanilla scent makes it nicer to use.

MUA Lipstick (#7) - Last but not least is this £1 MUA lipstick which has really been neglected since I bought it. Shade number 7 is a slightly orange toned red which I think is such a pretty color and one that will help me transition into red lipstick now that we're in the colder months. Red isn't a color you'd see me in very often but I'm determined to change that this autumn/winter. My only gripe is that I wish the MUA lipsticks had names rather than just a number.
Are there any lip products that you have recently fallen back in love with?
