She

By Namalsiddiqui @namalsiddiqui
She She is the every day girl or woman you meet at school, work, in the bus, on the way, different places. She is the one you come across every day. She is the old woman sitting on the bench. She is the young lady with her child at the play area. She is the girl walking to school with her friends. She is the newly wed bride. She is the recently made widow. She is the one that laughs. The one that cries. The one who doesn't say anything. Sometimes the enemy, sometimes a friend. She is the mother. The daughter. The wife. The sister. The friend. She is the one that falls. The one who holds her ground. The one who dreams. She is her. She is me. She is you.
She is a simple girl with simple dreams Simplicity experienced by complex means.
She wanders to places alone Pursuing answers to questions unknown.
She searches for everlasting love In nature, glimpses and places above.
She finds happiness in a good laugh In simple pleasures, that are not much to ask.
She is ordinary, she’s no queen Yet fierce like thunder, and at times gloriously serene,
Like a calm sunny sky set on the sea. She is captivated by earth, and still longs to be free.
She knows not good or bad No right or wrong, dirty or chaste.
In this serendipitous and laborious journey of life, She has met with joy and pain, and learned to survive.
And through it all Treasures of forgiving and forgetting she has found.
Fierce like thunder, calm like the summer sea She is just an ordinary girl, Amidst reality and a simple dream.

And of course I have to mention a song that I was reminded of while writing this :) . Here it is, She by Elvis Costello.
