At least seven security personnel were martyred in Lakki Marwat on early on Saturday when at least 30 militants, equipped with heavy weapons, attacked an army camp.
Twelve militants were killed in the counter attack. At least 12 people including seven security personnel were injured in the exchange of fire. The wounded were shifted to CMH Bannu and Peshawar.
Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan has claimed responsibility for the attack.
