Tenors Unlimited, the ‘Rat Pack of Opera’ will be performing at La Rive, the new restaurant in High Street, Cobham, on Friday 13 November at 7pm.

Paul Martin from Tenors Unlimited, who lives in Cobham, says “We’re delighted to be appearing at La Rive, which recently opened in the space formerly occupied by La Capanna – we performed there on many occasions.”

The evening will start with a champagne and canape reception where customers will be able to meet Tenors Unlimited, followed by their performance at 8pm.

Tickets, which cost £90 each, include a three course dinner. There will also be a special offer on bottles of Taittinger. To book tickets, call La Rive on 01932 862121.

La Rive, a new restaurant serving a Provencal menu, has been launched by director Simon Rand and head chef Eric Payet.

Simon Rand says “We look forward to welcoming Tenors Unlimited to La Rive for a fantastic evening of good food and entertainment.”

The restaurant has three different dining areas – the dining room, the gallery and a conservatory. Typical dishes include Provençal beef tartare, parmesan meringue and confit hen yolk; poached fillet of red mullet in saffron, squid ink bow pasta and vegetables confetti and half roasted guinea fowl, sweet corn with Parisian gnocchi and radicchio.

Tenors Unlimited’s repertoire includes the ever popular classics ‘La Donna E Mobile’, ‘The Pearl Fishers Duet’ and ‘Nessun Dorma’, interspersed with crooner and pop favourites such as ‘Volare’, ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’, ‘Summertime’, as well as songs written by Tenors Unlimited themselves which include the title tracks to both their current albums ‘Brand New Day’ and ‘Viva La Vita’.

For over ten years, Scott Ciscon, Paul Martin and Jem Sharples have entertained audiences throughout the world. They have performed alongside such notables as Sting, Lionel Ritchie, Beyoncé, Hayley Westenra, Simply Red and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to name a few.  Using talents honed in their previous solo careers in opera and theatre, they bring their own blend of wit, charm and vocal arrangements to their performances. Alan Titchmarsh OBE said “21st century tenors, great fun, great voices and a great evening.” Tenors Unlimited sang at the memorial service for football legend Sir Bobby Robson and sang live at Wembley Stadium at the FA Cup final.
