When Angie's parents like to put on a celebration, they really like to put on a celebration. As Angie has just recently graduated with her PhD and we are just about to set off on a trip around the world that will last anywhere from 14 months to indefinitely, we certainly have a lot to celebrate. What we didn't really understand was just how awesome of a celebration our (part) farewell party was going to be. Rather than get into the details of the party, we wanted to share some of the best photos that were taken during the night. There was a lot of food, a lot of fun, and a lot of great people we're really going to miss while on the road.

The going away party was a lot of fun, but it is time to get serious. We leave just 36 hours after publishing this post and will be heading off for more than a year of continual travel. What adventures are yet to come? We can't say. But if the going away party is any indication, it is going to be pretty wild.
