Friday at 5:20 am my flight was taking off and bound for Charlotte where I would board another flight to Atlanta. The whole experience of flying by myself and then taking the Marta (basically Atlanta's subway) to meet my boss for market, well, it was amazing...if not somewhat liberating. None of my baggage was lost and I was able to make it safely. Market consisted of viewing the Joules spring line, buying accessories for the  boutique I work in part time, and getting to experience a small portion of what some people do every day for a living. Then things got complicated. After market, my cab driver took me to the WRONG W hotel after I had showed him the address of the one I was supposed to go to. I then had to take another cab from there to the correct one where the cabby yelled at me the entire time because he didn't want to drive in Atlanta traffic. I was a little confused by that because...that's his job right? So I don't have to be the one driving in traffic? But, that's just my opinion. 45 minutes and $40 later, I was finally at The W at Buckhead to kick off SBS conference weekend. To start it off, I met Jessica and Cathy (the two founders of Southern Blog Society) in Cook Hall for a quick snack and chat before we started getting things set up for that evening and then the next day. (The deviled eggs with blue crab meat were to DIE for!) Seeing Jessica and Cathy in action was amazing. The two of them were so detail oriented and seeing the event begin to take place, it was fantastic. Following a few trips to move gift bags, etc...I was finally able to go to my room to see my blog conference room mate, who is absolutely fabulous! If y'all haven't seen Alicia's blog yet, that should be the next thing on your to do list. That night ended up being perfect! Donned in my new Piperlime maxi, I headed upstairs to the Whiskey Blue bar to meet some of the weekend conference attendees, a few of the ladies from Ahology, and to see what was happening next. There was an endless supply of champagne and macarons (two of a bloggers favorite things) and some great people. All in all, night 1 alone made me never want to leave Georgia. xoBCC
