The 2014 International CES Innovation awards have been announced, and two manufacturers of major appliances, LG and Samsung, won multiple awards for the innovative technologies used in their home appliances.
The award winning products will be displayed at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show in January in Las Vegas.
Both Samsung and LG are known and recognized for their mobile , television, and other home electronics technologies. But at this year’s CES, they were both recognized for the eco-friendly major home appliances they offer to the public.

One of Samsung’s 24 CES Innovation awards was recognition for their DV457 series front-load dryer in the Eco-Design and Sustainability category. The CES Innovation award follows the same dryer series being the first dryer to win the Energy Star Emerging Technology Award earlier this year.
The Samsung DV457 series of front-load dryers are available in onyx and white, and with both gas and electric versions. These stackable dryers utilize a temperature modulation system that makes them super-efficient at drying your clothing. The DV457 series can also be controlled by your smartphone over a wifi network.

Two of LG’s 15 CES Innovation Awards were for major home appliances. First, the LG LDE3037ST double oven convection range received an award in the Eco-Design and Sustainability category.
