Posted on the 24 August 2016 by Gadgetscanner @jdsoni7

Reliance Jio has been a cause of disruption in the India Telecom market already. It now got Samsung to launch Z2 a tizen-powered budget 4G smartphone. The smartphone will be available in Black, Wine Red, and Gold color variants from Monday. It will be sold online Paytm exclusively and Samsung’s offline retail stores.

In a bid to attract feature phone users who might want to upgrade to a smartphone to get a taste of 4G internet, the Korean Tech giant has priced the phone at Rs 4590.

Samsung Z2 comes with a complimentary invitation to the Jio Preview Offer to avail free voice and data services in the trial period. Z2 users will also get complimentary access to premium Jio applications – My Jio, Jio on Demand, Jio Beats – with unlimited options of latest movies, TV shows and songs across multiple languages during the Jio Preview offer.

Although there is not much that can be written about the hardware configuration of the device as such, Samsung Z2 has a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front camera.

It has 8GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB) and comes with a 1500 mAh battery  along with OTG support. The phone also features the Ultra Data Saving mode, S bike mode and the new My Money Transfer, to drive smartphone adoption.

It would be really difficult to say how the phone will fare in the market as Reliance is already offering LYF branded handsets for as low as Rs 2,990 with the same data benefits and these phones run on Android which is icing on the cake in this budget segment.
