Samsung has finally entered the wearable market with the Galaxy Gear, a smart watch that acts more as a smartphone companion than a standalone device. The Galaxy Gear sports a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 320 x 320, a 1.9-megapixel BSI sensor and an auto-focus lens camera that allows video recording at 720p. With 70 partner apps at launch the Galaxy Gear is well stocked, although for the time being it will only be compatible with the Galaxy Note 3 and Note 10.1 tablet. US$299
