Another sample review from Avene today... on their Gentle Milk Cleanser, meant for dry-dry sensitive skin.
I had already reviewed Avene Very High Protection SPF 50+ Sunscreen Emulsion earlier from this brand.
These were again GWP. I must admit I am in love with their products!
I got 2 sample size containers of this cleanser of 25 ml. each.
So, I had a full 50 ml. to decide on this cleanser before reviewing (in most products 50 ml. is the full size :P)
The sample comes in a sturdy, see-through plastic container, whereas the full size product comes in a pump bottle. Both ideal for travelling!
Texture - Thick milk cream like consistency.
Fragrance - Mild floral fragrance.
I usually dab a little of this cleanser onto a cotton pad to remove all of my makeup. At times, I have rubbed the cleanser directly on my skin (to save some product!) - and both ways it worked just fine.
It easily & effectively removes all of my long wearing makeup including long-wearing lipsticks, mascara & eyeliner.
It does take a wee bit of more time to get rid of waterproof & smudgeproof kohls from the waterline using this cleanser.
It does not sting the eyes at all & mind you I got sensitive-watery eyes, that can water the whole Sahara if disturbed :D
Double cleansing is necessary with this product. I just follow it up with my usual face wash.
It has never broken me out inspite of being creamy in consistency and actually made my skin feel better after each use in terms of not being stretchy or dry.
I have quite a decent stash of cleansers in my closet right now, but will definitely buy this once they get over & highly recommend to other dry-normal skinned beauties out there.
This cleanser retails for INR 1190 for 200 ml.
