So, my flights are booked and my passport is at the ready, I just need to add a few new pieces to my holiday wardrobe. Now one of the trends I’ve been loving this season is the ruffles and romance trend so I thought I’d create a little wish list  and show you all how I’d style this look. My favorite thing about this trend is that you can make a statement or keep it subtle. You can find all of the pieces that make up this look on the Farfetch website but be warned, you may leave with a major case of wardrobe goals.

  1. My foundation for this look is this dreamy peachy nude Chloé ruffled A-line dress. Chloé is the Queen of romantic colorways and I’m in love with the elegant ruffled details. Yes, you may have to re-mortgage your home to buy it but on the other hand it is quite a clever investment piece. It’s one of those dresses you could bring out season after season, updating it with a few new accessories here and there. Have I justified this purchase yet? *flutters lashes*
  2. I’m a nude shoe obsessive, in fact I positively hoard them and these Bionda Castana Giulietta pumps in blush are sublimely feminine. The scalloped edges and the bow detail add just enough interest to complement the dress and the height ensures they make a statement.
  3. I chose to style this dress with the Chloe Cargo shoulder bag. The gold hardware and caramel tones complement the jewelry while the structured design contrasts nicely with the ethereal dress. This is the bag of dreams isn’t it?
  4. Gold jewelry completes the look. The gold cuff is actually made from a host of 18 karat gold nuggets. *excited face* The gold ring has a teardrop stone in it that I just love.
  5. Lastly, I included this incredible skin perfecting compact by Becca that is brimming with shimmery goodness. Sweep this lightly over the cheekbones and any other places you want to highlight.

What do you think of the ruffles and romance trend?
